72% of Tekton tools come from Taiwan. A shipping container now costs 3 times what it did less than 2 years ago. That along with other fast rising costs have to have an effect. Their stuff is still amazingly priced, by a long shot.

I’ve been procrastinating on my wrench sets and 3/8 set. I might have to act soon the way the economy is going.
I sold my 3rd gen and bought a goat.
Thanks for your content bro.

I mean they're still very affordable. Not surprised by the price increase. Everything is going up.

I think they’re also adjusting to their competitors’ prices. The comparable brands have a higher price point on most products and I’d say they figured they could raise the prices and still be a better deal.

I paid 390 for the socket bundle last month. Great set, still a good price at the new price.

I was looking at the chrome socket set for a while the 3 case combo used to be $350. I'm sure that's why you said that $410 is not what it used to be, it was $375 for past few months. I just hope that maybe they raised prices in order to do some sort of holiday season discounting.

Great video, I've been into Tekton for about 2 years now. One thing that nobody seems to talk about is the reach they had in retail stores. Meijer carried Tekton until about a year ago which blew me away when I found that out. I wonder if it was Meijer's idea to drop them, or if Tekton couldn't meet demand for that market with current supply issues. Now Stanley tools reside in Tekton's former place.

I admit I scored great deals as Meijer was clearancing Tekton out (50% off), but it sucks not being able to get their tools in brick and mortar stores locally. Their squeeze clamps are my favorite!!

I have seen the prices increase on their website, just like I've seen the price incr4eases at the gas station, grocery store, Amazon, Harbor Freight, and just about everywhere else. I don't think there is anything nefarious going on, just a company trying to cover costs and still pay their rising bills. If anything, I would blame Brandon.

Yup I was about to get the 3 piece set 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 socket sets but now it’s $410 so I’m going to wait or go with gearwrench. Was $375 when I was looking into it

If people stopped buying there tools they would lower the price but everyone dont care so they put up the prices and it will continue until people stop buying them.

When did Tekton go with the smaller head 90 tooth ratchets? Also any other changes over the last couple years with their 3-Set 1/4”, 3/8”, & 1/2” sockets. I see they’re $450 right now.

I think this entire video hit the nail on the head, Tony. Fwiw, I was watching the price, so I know the metric long double box ratcheting wrench set in the holder went from $135 to $142. I wasn't surprised to see the increase, so I get it. Also, I think the folding ratchet went from $35 to $37. I'm not 100% sure about that one, since it was in my mental category of things that look cool, but I'm not sure I'd really use it.

I think the reason Tekton (and Icon) tool carts and cabinets aren't selling as much is that people have already become used to a certain level of quality for that price range. When you go to Harbor Freight, you expect the tools to last a certain amount of time, and the price is low enough to easily be able to replace them. Tekton initially was the same way, but with a far better warranty for slightly more if you were willing to wait for it to arrive in the mail. Now that they have stepped up their game, it will take time for customers to realize the improvement in quality, and be willing to pay the extra cost.

its business, its best to stay alive and provide their awesome products ans services VS go out of business to a competitor and have you pay more and left with no option! Win Win
