I sold ALL of my Snap On stuff the moment I discovered Tekton. Quality is on par. Service is far better. And I have ton of money left to buy cocaine with.

What I really like about Tekton...no skipped sizes.

Tekton is now my favorite tool company. Quality tools, low prices, and they are actively moving production to the US.

I'm a heavy equipment mechanic I use Craftsman Snap-on Mac Harbor Freight they all do the same. What happens you get these younger guys to get suckered into buying a $10, 000 box and then $10, 000 worth of tools and they're in debt for Five years my advice don't be that guy hand tools anywhere would do just as good this ain't the 70s no more where they just had Snap-on Mac Cornwell. The other tools has stepped up their game and they're just as good if not better in some cases.

Tekton is a great mid level tool manufacturer. Everything I have from them is quality, highly recommend for people looking to build up their toolbox

I honestly thought “damn he got a good deal, two socket sets AND a ratchet from snap on for 200!” Seriously kids stay off the tool trucks.

I've worked as a mechanic for years and used all kinds of tools, from to cheap, bottom barrel to the mast expensive like Snap-On and I feel that as long as you stay out of the bottom barrel stuff, just about anything works well if your using it correctly. As for the rest, well I have broken them all at least once and one doesn't seem to fail much different then another.

$200 for Snap-On tools?
That's what my Snap-On guy charges for a paper receipt.

I'm a huge fan of tekton. Especially only being a half hour from their home base. Have to support local.

When I saw $200 worth of snap-on in the title, I thought you were going to test an 8 mm snap-on socket. 😂

As a lifelong Tool Guy and former Harbor Freight employee, I don't honestly think you can beat the value for money..! They have a pro-grade series of tools, and yes, they do have your one shot use tools... LOL but, if you ever break a hand tool, it's a straight-up walk-in swap it for another one no questions asked! Pretty sure you can't beat that anywhere else... just sayin

I have used Tekton for a few years now. I beat them daily with a Milwaukee impact. They take it and keep going.

This year I bought my first Tekton tools. 3/8 impact sockets. deep & shallow, SAE & metric. Was very impressed. I have since added a few of their 90 tooth ratchets and other items. Love how slim those 90 tooth ratchets are. I think Tekton will be my first go to place from now on. Seen torture tests on some Tekton stuff (including here) and they have done well. 90% of my stuff was the old Craftsman...USA made that I started buying many years ago when I worked at Sears during college. But since Craftsman is no longer USA made I looked elsewhere and to me, the Tekton seems to be a bit better quality than "new" Craftsman. Nothing wrong with Snap On our any of the tool truck brands and I am glad they continue to be US made. But I am not a professional and simply can't afford those prices. I do have a couple of Snap On (just for fun) ratchets that were lightly used, in great shape and well priced..for Snap on. Very high quality to be sure. But for a non pro....or a young guy starting out who needs a lot of tools immediately, it is hard to beat Tekton quality at that price point.

prefer HF Pittsburgh. been using their sockets professionally for 20 years and never broke one. love their ratchets. Love my US GENERAL 72 in tool box. sold my snap on to buy it.

Snape on pricing is unjustifiable at any level.

Been working on cars professionally for a long time now and my perspective definitely changed. At the beginning of corse I wanted all snap on. But now I see it’s better to have a lot of good value sets. Time is money having a set next to you anywhere in the shop is better then having 1 tool truck set.

Tekton for the win.
I think Tekton is better quality and better price than HF. Plus, the warranty is better, but a little more inconvenient having to wait for the free replacement to be shipped.

I love Tekton! Their sockets sets and combination wrenches are in an insane deal and as mentioned, they don't skip sizes. I do pay a premium for ratchets though. The KTC Nepros ratchets from Japan are the most precise I've ever felt. Extremely smooth and almost no slop between the teeth.
