An introduction to kitbashing as well as a reminder of why it so much fun. I kitbash Ydrastra from Age of Sigmar, explaining the concept of kitbashing, the tools needed and some things to have in mind when kitbashing.

Finally, the advice we all want to hear. “Buy more minis.”

Lovely end piece. Simply superb

I started to feel like my grandma when I had my third blue butter cookie tin filled with bits. Feels good to have an assortment of accoutrements for any occasion though!

I am relatively new to the hobby, and have never kitbashed before. As a woman in this hobby, I often struggle to find miniatures I can connect with, and have been wanting to alter some minis for some time. I found this video useful and inspiring - thank you so much!

Gives me a real "planescape" vibe; that mix of fantasy with industrial vibes. Great stuff!

Well explained Alex, great for those who haven't done kit-bashing or conversions before. I've been doing them for 40+ years, but I still liked the way you gave concise explanations to the processes.

What a great vid for inspiring GW hobbyists who've so far only built to the instructions, it shouldn't be so off putting to make an expensive kit into your own take.
This was a lovely balance of structural substitution and aesthetic tinkering and such a thoughtful introduction. Genuinely information dense with powerful tricks like mixing milliput and greenstuff but never feeling like it because Alex naturally embodies both earnest and laid back all at the same time.
Another inspiring hobby signpost to a more imaginative game!

This was great! I love your kitbashing videos; one tool that I haven't seen ANYONE use that I use quite religiously is an engraving tool - it's particularly nice for cleaning up green stuff or poor glue jobs, the kit I got was super cheap and came with tips down to 0.1mm

I love how you sourced the other bits to make something that didn't really fit into your army seem like a (showy) natural addition to it! Looking forward to seeing it painted up!

Nice tonal change to the lighting. It showes of your workspace well while you are talking.
Also, that's a very sophisticated turtable you used at the end. I've never seen one with a pause feature before.

Wonderful, practical guidance, as always. Much of the details I knew already (some I have even done!) but I still always learn a thing or three from your well done, videos. Alex. Also props on kitbashing a rotating showcase spinning platform from a tabletop and your hand :D
