My main source of parts is bartering skills for parts. I'm okay at kitbashing and modelling, but am really good at installing lights into models, so I've more than once managed to score a load of bits from someone in exchange for lighting up a character model for them.

I find the local ebay sellers are best and cheapest. Especially here in Australia. While it would be cheap getting from UK etc. The shipping is the biggest killer for us here in the land down under.

Go to computer repair shops and ask for damaged laptops, phones or tablets that they are throwing out, camera's galore. Plus the heatsinks and heatsink pipes (laptops for the pipes) would look cool in dioramas

It’s insane to me that I own both a resin printer and a filament printer, tons of raw material to print with, access to Blender with the knowledge on how to actually use it (3D designer/animator) PLUS a near infinite amount of already existing 3D models- most of which are ready to print right now—
