I'd heard of some of their games, but Xenoblade Chronicles Cross was the first I ever played, and it quickly became one of my favorite games of all time. Ever since XCX, if I see a game has Monolith Soft attached, I know it's going to be amazing.

I've been a big fan of Monolithsoft since their foundational games, and I do consider Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger to be the foundational games of what brought this team together - even if Takahashi and Kunihiko Tanaka go back to Nihon Falcom in 1988/89. Since the foundation of Monolithsoft, Xenosaga Episode 1, Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and X remain some of my favourite games of all time. But Xenogears remains my favourite game of all time.
