I feel like ADHD support groups need to be a thing and if someone is in full burnout and needs to be jump started other understanding people can come and do a quick dig out of your pit. Just post that you need help and people will come and do a chore for you no questions asked... and you just return the favor for someone else when you are in a better space.

I literally had this exact same conversation with my husband yesterday. I only work 3 days a week bc I'm in long-term burnout, but I spend my 4 days off sleeping excessive amounts and freaking out about how messy the house is. Feel the intense need to touch grass too but our current situation isn't very conducive to that (we're in a REALLY bad neighborhood)

i have questioned for a long time whether I'm neurodivergent, and everytime i see one of your videos I'm just more and more convinced. I'm sitting here right now with work to do staring at my screen knowing its something i need to be doing, that time is running out but even with the urgency I'm just sitting here. this video speaks to me so much. Thank you for always being a voice for these kinds of feelings.

I feel like the first step is taking care of yourself. If you are in this situation, start with food and sleep and go from there.

This school term has been super rough and one class took a huge chunk self confidence and got to my lowest point in my mental health so yeah fun time being college

This is so me the last few days. I’m also a mum of 14. I’m blessed to have such a supportive husband and children 🥹🥰

I feel like when im at this stage the first step is to actually let yourself rest, which is extremely hard... because "resting" while beating yourself up for not doing anything is actually more exhausting than actually getting things done... so you dont really get a rest even if it seems like you took one...

Remember its ok to knowingly take a break when you need one, even if you have urgent things you need to do: actually especially if you do because thats when you probably need it the most...

your videos always come when I need them most. I didn’t go to a meeting tnight to recover from being sick and try to rest from impending burnout. thank you for your content and destroying the thoughts that make me feel like I’m the only one struggling or needing a break ❤

Ive been like this for months and I am finally taking some time off of work to try and figure things out but its still so hard to self motivate because its so easy to get overly enthusiastic when I have energy and then burn myself out again

Wow. I can’t describe how relatable this is.

This was college for me. Except I never really talked about it or showed how I was feeling to anyone. It's rough.

I experience the same things and It’s the most annoying thing feeling so stuck but knowing there’s so much to do but feeling unable to physically do it, I haven’t been diagnosed, but this is something I struggle with the most

When this happens, I watch the same show I've watched for the past 20 years. Or just have it on in the background because it sooths me.
