You wouldn't see the asteroid against the backdrop of space, there is no atmosphere to heat it up, you would only see the impact. However, kudos to the animator for some awesome work.

I just received 3 uncut fusion crusted lunar meteorites from the discovery of the Parshall, impact Crater. These came from the only Crater in the world known to be caused by a piece of the moon. This discovery will be published in the fall of 2023 by Kevin Maloney and The Comet Research Group. This is so very exciting.

An asteroid shouldn't be glowing prior to impact. This was more like a quantum torpedo.
