The moon doesn't create tides on earth by "pushing" but by pulling very slightly on the top few inches of most water on the Earth directly at a 90° angle and spatially outward with those tidal influences from the moons gravity, diminishing as you move away from the 90° center. The solid crust of the Earth stays in place (for the most part) and thats why the water moves up onto the land and back down as the moon moves along on its mery way. Hope i didnt over explain that.

Interesante animación.. Lógicamente no es un vídeo real (hay como diez videos similares en ínternet). Además, la magnitud del supuesto asteroide es tal, que hubiera provocado una explosión mucho mayor en la superficie de la luna, más luminosa y también más lenta, debido a la poca gravedad de la luna y la gran cantidad de material que habría sido expulsado .. Un choque igual con la tierra hubiera provocado una catástrofe global.

Some of us are commenting about more realistic ways to present such event. Ok, i suggest to the author to include the sound of a great explosion, like all science fiction films does. Although the empty space cannot transmit wave soundy.

So sad! How many lunatic lives were extinguished with this explosion, how many lunatic dinosaurs and many families ended. It's good that those who survived managed to flee to other places, some came to Earth, others more economically went to Pluto, the poor had no choice and had to face the hard life on Venus.

If the moon is pushing the tides on earth.... why does it not push astroids away?
Maybe gravity isn't what we think it is anymore....but space is not cool, it's frightening 😮
