Some companies have come out to say they do not have BPA in their can linings but the studies haven't proved the alternative to be any better.

@lavenderbudtree Just because it's organic does not change the fact that all cans, as far as I am aware, are lined with plastic containing BPA. Try some fresh organic foods and I would minimize any canned foods..

Thank you for this 'public service announcement'. I was confused about canned foods -- I mistakenly thought that ONLY the cans with the white plastic lining contained BPA, but now I understand that the cans that are metal on the inside are also sprayed with a BPA lining. OK, I get it. No more canned foods unless it is labeled BPA free. I'll see if this makes a difference in my health. Thank you!

Correct, this leads me to ask some questions. How are these products legal? Who are certifying these products as being consumable? Why are we not being protected from these companies? Is there a link between these companies and the governing body who are certifying these highly toxic products? I'd like to add a personal thought, who are these highly toxic products being marketed towards? Upper, middle or lower class consumers? Male, or female? Children or adults? along with this information if we combine regional consumer data and medical statistics, is it possible that we may progress to understand and prevent the causes of so many of modern day illnesses and diseases.

Well doctor killdare, how do you explain people who live 65, 85 & ninety who have consumed can food all their lives? Also, doctors can eat in a restaurant daily on account of their pay. Majority of people can't.

Something else, my alternative doctor's wife, after a long mysterious illness and detoxing, had strange beads coming from her skin - turned out to be what she said could be best described as plastic. We began to think how many ways plastics can get into our bodies. We didn't think about this one!

This is all new to me. What's the safest way to store food? I'm assuming that there is no storage that is 100 percent safe. For example, you got me started with the coconut oil and I thank you but even when bought in a glass bottle, there is still a metal lid.
