I have severe scoliosis with a 47° Cobb angle.
I've had horrible pain in my left hip and limping so badly I needed a cane. Doctors chalked it off to my lumbar curve and wanted to put a rod in my back from S4 to T2!
Along the way, I found a young, intelligent chiropractor who diagnosed me with TFL Syndrome. It makes total sense because I have a significant spinal rotation which rotates my pelvis towards the left, therefore contracting the TFL. Add to that, I have a desk job and sit all day. Hungry for knowledge, I searched YouTube for exercises specific to TFL Syndrome and found yours. Oh my God, I've had remarkable improvement!! Thank you!!!

omg that first technique is what I have been searching for for years. I literally teared up. I don't think I can tell you how grateful I am. I've done numerous classes in yoga, martial arts and circus arts and no one has ever had any idea why I was having pain during certain stretches, and I've never been able to stretch the spot. Thank you! I also had no idea just how tilted forward my hips are. I can fit my arm behind my back against the wall. I guess I have some work ahead of me.

Dude I have been trying to figure this out for years. After taking Anatomy and physiology class I now know the exact names of some of my problem areas. I came across your video and I can understand the language and I am absolutely astonished at how much these stretches have loosened me up. You are doing some great work sir. I've been in so much pain and thought it was all due to my degenerate spine issues. Went and had x-rays and then an MRI, which included my left hip, found out I have TFL. My pain doctor said to look this up on YouTube and I found your videos. I'm so thankful for you explaining it thoroughly and showing all the exercises that I am now doing. I've never been one to let pain stop me but this is extremely painful. I'll keep doing the stretching and icing it and hopefully will see improvement. It sure has been painful

The wall stretch feels like it does something. Makes me also notices the tightness I have in my neck. Trying to do this now with breathing decompression, where I try extend my spine with the help of the in-breath, and use my internal abs to maintain that positition on the exhale. Doing 12 slow breaths for 5 sets seems to help. Thanks a lot!
