Tim told James O'Brien that during the lockdown, he filled out some benefits forms incorrectly which left him on the brink of being plunged into poverty. The caller explained that once he contacted his MP Wes Streeting, the situation was quickly resolved and things went back to normal.

I'm still waiting on my state pension 12 weeks after I became 66. I was told on the phone that applications are taking 17 weeks to process, but since I applied on the first of June it is now 19 weeks and counting. As i now live in Australia that will have cost me money on the exchange rate I have contacted Ian Blackford's office (He would have been my MP In Scotland and received a very prompt reply. He says that he had numerous complaints from people who havn't been paid and is dealing with them. From what I can gather there are hundreds, possibly thousands waiting on their pensions.

Well done to Wes streeting that's great work for the people he represents. But just remember according to the press. Things would be much worse under labour. I very much think not.
