Nowadays, you don't need to be a tech wizard to run Linux. But if you want to become one, you should definitely give advanced Linux distros a try!

Linux Mint is pretty neat, and Garuda-Arch is a step up.

I used Arch and Gentoo for a long time. I installed void and artix for a short time, but i installed. Now I installed NixOS and it's very fun to use it.

I'm currently trying to find a distro I like. Mint with Cinnamon is nice but it has audio issues on the laptop I want it on. Ubuntu works, but I don't like the interface. Right now I'm trying Manjaro with the Plasma desktop environment, and other than a few minor screen scaling issues that don't bother me enough to fix, I like it. It's always fun experimenting. It's a whole new computing experience each time with different puzzles and solutions. I do kind of miss Windows though because it just kind of worked without issue. I just don't like the new "features" they are forcing on us.

Yes and no, I think if you use linux long enough you stop noticing how much time you spent in the terminal. Your average person is alot less tech literate than you think

What about a linux distro to just browse the web, listen to music, newscast, watch videos etc, and is completely separated from the rest of the system. Call it the bare minimum!
