Also my 1e flight was in 1979 from Amsterdam to Gran Canaria. Martin Air DC 10. It diverted to Tenerife not long after the KLM 747 and Pan Am 747. Still seen some wreckage left. Scary to see. Will never forget that.

I've flown nearly 500 times in about 30 years - so very similar to you. My first flight was VA to LA - I remember it vividly. I’ve had a 10 year head start on you and I’m only approaching 500 flights - and I still fly more than most people I know! (My first was on a BA BAC 1-11 from MAN-LHR.)
Love the symmetry of using LHR for the major milestones…well done!
