Back in the late 90s my go-to was just the DS-1 with gain on 9oclock and tone similar. Gave it a nice grunt through small amps.

The Colour Box V2 is the only JHS pedal I own and was just yesterday thinking about using it on bass!

I actually had the 3 series Flanger on bass for a while, and I used the Clover at the end because the Color Box was a bit out of my price range (I now have a pre-amp/eq/comp in one, sadly it's not the Beach Boys collab.)

I use the morning glory with the JptrFX Jive going into it without any diodes switched on. Sounds amazing and better than any single pedal I’ve ever heard for OD on bass. ! If you could make a pedal combining the fatness and gushiness of the Jive with the great tone of the MG you’d have the ultimate bass overdrive! Maybe a collaboration with Chris! I’d be the first to order one!

The Colour Box need an input trimmer for bass. The input will clip before it hits the rest of the circuit with a P bass and it sounds so bad. Please make a version 3 that has a Hi-Z switch!!
