*MEWO stares at you. She does not know what is happening.*

The single line of "Mewo has been very, very bad." coupled with the cat on a table about to be cut open was some of the most legitimate unease i have ever felt in a game, and this song did not help.

NAHH THE FACT THAT YOU DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO CUT MEWO WAS THE WORST REALIZATION FOR ME

The panic I felt in this room was unreal.
The relief I felt after finding out stabbing myself was an alternative was equally unreal.

Very effective track. The music builds up in tension as the player realizes there's no exit and seemingly only one option available to them... (this isn't actually true though)

This room really hit me and i just wanna say a few things about it
1. I killed mewo, just putting that out there. I didnt know I could stab myself beforehand
2. Yeah, you can stab yourself if you dont want to cut open mewo
3. This game ACTUALLY makes you feel like suicide is the best answer and i swear

this song also uses a Leitmotiv of HEADSPACE.
"Sugar Star Planetarium" but instead of a slow 3 beats song, it's a fast 5 beats song playing the melody slowly.
This is the PUNISHMENT AREA and I hate it.
This room is terrifying

(Spoiler warning) Theory: Mewo died before Mari, and was Sunny's first experience with death, and this room represents how he processed that. This room has a lot of medical equipment inside of it, which implies that Mewo was put down by a veterinarian (also supported by the track being named after a chemical that calms the mind down). A very peaceful way to go...but that's not how Sunny saw it. What if Sunny didn't even know Mewo was sick? Maybe the vet told him and the family that "Mewo's condition is very very bad" but the way Sunny interpreted that was "Mewo has been very very bad, " making him think that she was being killed for bad behavior. Perhaps he thought it was his own fault for not trying harder to discipline Mewo, as its implied by her presence in white space and general omnipresence through headspace in one way or another that Sunny was likely the one responsible for Mewo, and maybe believed that it was his fault that she did the "very very bad thing." This being represented by Omori cutting Mewo open to kill her. He thought he could have avoided it...which is likely the thought that any unlucky player who didn't know they could leave immediately would have. The chaotic music and background show the whirlwind of emotions that Sunny was going through at the time, dealing with death for the first time in his whole life. Now that he's revisiting the tragedy of Mari during the events of the game, it's only natural that he would revisit his very first experience with death while attempting to process it all over again.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the title is a reference to the CAS number of aminobutyric acid/GABA? (56-12-2) It's an amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter. It basically just makes your neurons fire off less, which makes you a lot calmer!

All of these songs feel like auditory descriptions of different kinds of panic attacks

I wonder who the cat butler represents... he was in the drawing on Omori's sketchbook... he was feeding him something on bed..and then he appear on one of the doors of black space saying Mewo was a bad cat...

> MEWO stares at you. She does not know what's happening.
> MEWO stares at you. She tilts her head out of curiosity.
> MEWO stares at you. Her eyes widen. She wants to go now.
> MEWO stares at you. She struggles to break free.
> MEWO stares at you. Her eyes are filled with desperation.
> MEWO stares at you. She tries to scream, but there is no sound.

> You cut open MEWO.

a decision of life or death. Mewo or Omori. I think this room tried to show that suicide (seemingly is) is the way out of omori's hard decisions and out of his problems overall.

This room was the first time in any game that genuinly messed me up. I thought I had no choice but I just couldn't read the text, I didn't want to. My heart was pounding so hard and my hands were feeling numb. The realisation that I did not have to do it and that I could open my inventory after talking to the butler cat made my heart sink.
My childhood cat's recent passing definetely contributing to this, it made me so damn upset I actually had to take a breather.
I think this was the worst and therefore best psychological horror experiences I had and I cannot quite pinpoint why it struck *such* an intense nerve. That music was panic enducing and I don't think I will step foot into this room for a long while.

The worst is that after cutting open mewo, the other cat say

"Waiting for something to happen ?"
