It's funny how people think it's the theme when plays you recycle at otherworld lol people really find this music that long when you can really press z and skip. It's a boss/enemy theme from real life it's a secret boss

The Recycultist Hideout is probably the weirdest part of Headspace, and I see it as Sunny's mind figuring out how a Headspace adventure could work with his IRL friends. The versions of Sunny's friends as seen in Headspace have been made and remade over and over with each loop, to the point where they're basically parodies of themselves. Sunny's imagination is very thorough, and it knows that can't keep happening forever. He probably doesn't expect he'll actually face the truth by this point; he thinks he'll go back into his escapism once he moves away. Therefore, he uses this short area as a testing ground for new versions of his friends to have adventures with. It's probably also mixed in with how Sunny was likely devout to the Holy Bin at some point during his isolation, judging by the radio in Black Space 2.

...Which is how I interpreted it, at least. It could just be another example of this game's bizarre fascination with recycling.
