Gulshan Kumar, T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks Production presents the upcoming bollywood movie of 2020 ‘Thappad’ starring Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati in lead roles. The film is directed By Anubhav Sushila Sinha and is produced by Bhushan Sudesh Kumar, Krishan Krishna Kumar, and Anubhav Sushila Sinha.

Thappad is a relationship story of Amrita whose seemingly perfect life is shattered with a slap. But is one slap enough to question what a relationship stands for? Should a slap shake up her trust or is a Thappad 'Bas Itni Si Baat'?

I loved it when her dad realised that even though he thought he was a good person and husband, he was lacking somewhere. He lashes out on his son when he misbehaves slightly with his fiancee. He knew that right then if he didn't stop his own son, he'd become comfortable with that kind of behaviour and in future, someone else's daughter would suffer what his daughter faced! Bravo to the writers!

Isn't it ironical that people don't even wait for a second to call those people a feminist who work for women's rights...but are never able to call those a misogynist who still follow the male chauvinism? And such people do exist...the dislikes on this video are evidence.😑
And it's not just a *thappad*....it's an assault on her dignity, an ignorance of the respect she felt for him and deserves it back. People saying here parents also slap us and girls slap too... kindly notice that she wasn't slapped for being wrong or anything. She became the target of his anger because he couldn't show it to his boss, and he thought she was vulnerable. It's plain wrong!

great message, every human being deserves respect, be it a man or woman, and this is the message of this film. But some are misunderstanding it and criticizing the movie saying "chhoti si baat pr ghar nhi tode jaate".
I believe those men will neither be quite and nor consider it a "chhoti si baat" if their wives slap them someday in a random party in anger, instead they will also take it to their self-respect and so is the message of the film.
It's simple, we never ever think of slapping or beating our parents, not in anger, like never ever
And that is in respect and true love, and so should be the case with life partners
