The film is directed By Anubhav Sushila Sinha and is produced by Bhushan Sudesh Kumar, Krishan Krishna Kumar, and Anubhav Sushila Sinha.

Thappad is a relationship story of Amrita whose seemingly perfect life is shattered with a slap. But is one slap enough to question what a relationship stands for? Should a slap shake up her trust or is a Thappad 'Bas Itni Si Baat'?

I must applaud the team of Thappar for their brilliant effort - We as a society are conditioned to speak against domestic violence when it has crossed all the boundaries - We can tolerate 1 slap but not a 100 slaps - but this movie takes the abuse to a higher level in drawing the line at one thappar- as a woman, I feel proud of this attempt in creating awareness about abuse -

This is a good initiative to spread awareness about domestic violence, but I doubt its effectiveness. Men who practice domestic violence dont respond to emotion or appeal, they respond to power and fear.

The best security for a housewife is her education and economic independemce. Education makes her aware of her rights and existing laws and a job brings courage to fight her abusive husband, because then she is not dependent on him.
