In this video, I was trying to figure out why this person had a new onset of swelling, clicking, and pain with walking and changing direction.
It started last week when he was trying to throw a baseball with max effort. My exam was to rule out a patellofemoral joint issue vs a meniscus tear.

The swelling has worsened as the week had gone on and he now feels a tightness in the back of the knee.
My exam consisted of taking a good history which was screaming meniscus and looking at:
✅ sweep test for swelling
✅ joint line palpation pain
✅ painfully end range flexion with mechanical blocking

So, my conclusion is he has an acute meniscus tear and needs to control the swelling, improve ROM and work on quad strengthening.
