For anyone wondering what his hand signals were for @11:19, that’s for battle damage checks. Each pilot will fly to each side, and underneath to visually inspect the other aircraft for any damage as a safety precaution. His wingman checked his plane, then they switched and he inspected his wingman’s plane.

I love how he is so calm and casual in his narration of the time his jet lost fuel over the Pacific as he flew hundreds of feet from the mountainsides. Nerves of steel.

9:20 "The low level environment is definitely a not regime where you want to be doing other things...". He says, as he's casually narrating away like he's sitting at a picnic table with a hot dog in one hand and a beer in the other... Amazing multi-tasking skills.

This kind of video will make kids flood the Air Force Academy and Airclubs.

Once you've seen a video like this, with the Fighter Pilot being so humble and encouraging, it is hard to believe you can go through LIFE doing some other thing, another job

THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS for amazingly BEAUTIFUL flight.

This is amazing. I'm so happy the Air Force is giving you permission to record and share these. I hope it helps recruitment!

As a Vietnam Veteran '65-'69 I want to thank you and making this tape. I hope all the young wannabes out there watched this. What an opportunity the young men and women have today. To protect our country is an honor.

Genuinely the best fighter-related video I’ve seen. It’s simple, but all the important flight data is in there. Clean look, high quality. THIS is what youtube is made for.

I always wanted to become a fighter pilot growing up, scored high grades in middle school, went to the gym, had great health, and I even did some breathing-technique sessions, watching fighter videos, where you could see the g-forces on screen, and tried to keep up the right breathing-technique throughout the video. Did the same when playing FSX and WarThunder, and eventually got the technique down.

Then, at age 16, right before I was supposed to enter highschool, I had a massive seizure and broke my left shoulder, and got diagnosed with epilepsy (which rules out any chance of me getting any sort of piloting license).
All dreams thrown right in the bin. Everything I’ve worked for, now useless.

That’s why I praise these videos, because this is as close as I’ll ever get to that dream. Thank you for this, and I hope you keep on posting these sort of videos. It truly makes my day.❤

Best regards
Isak (20yo)

0:06 “this is my office, welcome to my office” is the craziest and coldest thing to say in a f-16

This guy is just flying around in an F16 having a frank chat about life.
Loving this, this is where you want to share this with kids matter what their current lives entail, it’s a case of them getting to know that if they can overcome their current situations they can do cool stuff life this.
Don’t stop dreaming!
You’re dreams keep you alive.

He is absolutely right. People telling me "No" just made me want something even more, and nothing anyone told me has ever stopped me from getting what I wanted. Doctors told me I may never walk again after breaking my back in 2011, so I walked out of the hospital without crutches or a wheelchair after 13 days.

I was Class 71-01 at Laredo. Finished sixth and since the two fighter slots were gone, I picked the O-2 to be a FAC. Flew 300 combat missions and then became a T-37 IP. Have not flown now in something like 40 years and videos like this bring it all back. I genuinely miss the turn and burn.

Much respect Sir! As a Retired Air Force Electrician I worked Phantoms, both fighter and reconnaissance to C-130s, and KC-135s, B- 52s, F-16s, C&D. With that the military allowed me to be all across the world. Nellis AFB was my first TDYs. Red Flag and various other missions to include DACT. Proud to be apart of it all! 21 years plus.!!! 🫡 🇺🇸

I love how casual he talks to the camera, right from take off and all during the maneuvers. Interrupting to answer radio calls, seamlessly picking up again right after, all while being 100% aware of what point in the planned mission he is.
It shows that the work load of aviating in this situation is super low for him. It only makes sense, but I think most people never stop to think about how this is not self-evident that somebody can do that.
You can never have too much space available in that mind...

I’ve sat in that river drinking cold beer while you guys fly overhead most of the day in a Saturday. As an Army Infantry vet, I’m still a little kid every time I see you all fly. Love it!

Great footage and good advice for anyone who wants to be a pilot. My cousin was a Squadron leader in the UK RAF until he retired. He now works in commercial aviation.

Here in Wisconsin, I used to have the C-130’s doing low flying over my property. I absolutely love it. I’m sad they don’t do it anymore. Being a former Marine, I painted “USMC” on the roof of one of my buildings (I own an old mink ranch and 30 acres). They flew so low they would rock the wings at times when I was waving! Very very cool!!!!

I've been a dad for four and a half years now, and my appreciation for these guys not flying too low over residential areas if they don't have to, has increased to a whole new level. It's a hard thing when you finally get your six month old to sleep and they get jolted awake by some loud noise you can't control.

It must be an incredible feeling flying these machines. It's something that only a small % of the world will ever feel. I can't even imagine the withdrawals I'd have once leaving the forces. God speed man. You're awesome.

And that landing was just butter. Awesome stuff, thanks for taking us on that ride! Oh, as far as being a good steward, you could occasionally treat a few of us to the sound of a Viper rippin' by at full mil. It's a RUSH!

Isabella resident here. My guy, DO rip around here every day! I at least love it, especially when I see you guys jam past the bridge up near the canyon near McNally's or Johnsondale. I've been infatuated with aviation since I was 5 years old. So seeing you guys do what you do NEVER gets old and it never will. I actually get down when I don't see military aircraft in the area. I always wanted to be a pilot but ended up for whatever reason becoming almost the opposite. A train engineer firmly planted to the ground with ten to twenty thousand tons keeping me on the rails.
