We commonly hear about 'classes' in Terraria, but what does that actually mean? MUST you pick a class in Terraria 1.4? What are the differences between each class? This video will introduce the concept of classes in Terraria and cover all 4 main types, which are namely the Melee or Warrior Class, the Ranger or Archer class, the Mage or Magic Class, and the Summoner class.

I'm planning a play-though of Terraria after 1.4.5 comes out where I beat the game with each class simultaneously. Each of 4 characters gets their own world only they can visit, but there's a 5th world where every character has a "mailbox" so drops and money can be passed between characters as needed. I hoping that helps it to not be too tedious lol

While it's not as important as the primary summoners, there is one minor basegame mechanic omitted: Sentries
Sentries have separate slots (1 by default) and under most circumstances also a limited lifetime, but these stationary defenses can help with high damage, usually limited with their stationary nature and basically only getting a few non-endgame items to improve them without mods. They def can help support a Summoner however, as they share damagetypes and are clearly intended to work alongside em.

7:41 that's not entirely an accurate description. It's not that they destroy terrain sometimes but rather that you can choose ammo that works like that (although there are a few launchers that are an exception)

I've had the game since 2021, but I never really liked it because I was playing with a friend with 400h when I was discovering the game and I didn't understand anything. But a few days ago I tried the game again on my own and I love it. Already 20 hours of play with my new character!
