I remember using Krita A LOT when I first started doing digital art. It's no joke that the program has literally everything and all for free. I use other programs now, but I can't help but smile when I hear someone talk about how great Krita is.

As much as I love Autodesk Sketchbook, I'm not willing to pay to have it on my windows laptop when it was free on a tablet. Guess this is part of the learning curve.

I even use it for pixelart. I love how you can rebind shortcuts to your liking and drag and drop so much of the UI stuff around. Feels really intuitive once you get a grip of it! Everything seems easily customizable and there is hardly anything I am really missing.

(I'm just kinda sad that the developers are not going to fix things that prevent it from being a amazing tool for pixelart, but I can understand that they want the tool to be specifically for common artists and not pixel artists...)

Krita is fun, easy and is great if you want to transition from traditional to digital without investing too much. Some drawing tablets can be as cheap as $40.

As someone who draws from time to time, I also find krita amazing because the UI is really cool and easy to understand, yet you can go into details. It's honestly good and even better when you know it's 100% free

As a person that is in the industry for Freelance Concept Art, I can happily say that Krita was my go to program before I ended up taking contract work (was provided with Photoshop Suite from that point onward.)

I still find myself going back to Krita sometimes though, since its basically my training wheels. Lmao

I was using adobe illustrator when i first started digital art and must I say I was so confused by everything.
Then I found krita and for the past 6 months of trying digital art, its really really great. The stuff and and functions are easy to know, and everything is just so first time friendly, even now I keep discovering so much from this app. And mind that the community is incredibly kind, not only does krita have 100 brushes, but in the official page, people provide custom made brushes FOR FREE which you can also easily add in ur brush section in krita.
Its so nice :)) esp that they keep on updating and everything
so far krita 5.0 is there!

Krita is pretty great. I prefer Blender because I'm odd, but Krita is a nice product for it's price.
