People are very critical of him, and it's hard not to be for anyone who was ever friendly with Hitler for their own gain. However, it says something to me that he ended up joining the navy and actually fighting against Germany. That's not what a spineless opportunist does. I wonder who first put out the narrative that this man was terrible and if we should be listening to them...

You can see the pain in his eyes. He couldn’t have known everything that was coming, but it’s hard to see a family member leading down a bad path. Hitler just happened to have a top 5 of all time bad path.

Growing up was difficult my last name was clearly German. All the kids picked on me calling me nazi or hitlers grandkid. For a while I was ashamed of my German heritage. Then when I got stationed in Germany I learned how amazing the Germans really are. I could not imagine actually being related to the guy and still try to be accepted by the world

Half nephew. Adolf Hitler had only half siblings. Both of his full siblings died shortly after birth. This was because...Adolf Hitler's Mother was his Father's niece. 😳. The only reason the Nephew's eyes look weird is because how the 1930s camera picks out the blue in his eyes.
