👉"Must-Knows" Before Downgrade:**
1. Downgrading depends on Apple's firmware support. If Apple closes the signing window for iOS 17.1, downgrading becomes impossible.
2. Downgrading causes data loss, so back up your data before upgrading to iOS 18.
3. If you didn’t back up before upgrading, back up now, then restore after downgrading.
👉**Step 1: Turn Off Find My**
- Go to Settings - Account - Find My, and turn it off to prevent issues during backup and downgrade.
👉**Step 2: Back-Up Your Data in iTunes**
- Connect your device to your computer.
- Open iTunes or Finder, go to the Summary page, and click "Back Up Now" to create a local backup.
- If iTunes doesn’t support iOS 18 beta yet, use Finder for the backup.
👉**Step 3: Downgrade iOS 18 Beta**
🟩**Method 1: Downgrade with ReiBoot**
- Download ReiBoot and open it.
- Click the downgrade button, select Downgrade. It auto-detects the available downgrade version.
- Ensure your backup is complete, then initiate the downgrade process.
🟩**Method 2: Downgrade with iTunes**
- Download the IPSW file from IPSW.me for your iPhone model.
- Open iTunes or Finder, import the IPSW file.
- Hold the shift key, click Restore iPhone, and select the IPSW file.
- Confirm the restoration to downgrade your iPhone.
👉**Step 4: Modify Backup from iOS 18 to iOS 17**
- Open the Run dialog box (Win + R), type in %appdata%, and hit Enter.
- Navigate to Apple Computer - MobileSync - Backup.
- Search for "product" and change iOS 18 to iOS 17.5.1, then save the file.
👉**Step 5: Restore the Backup**
- Go back to iTunes, click "Restore Backup," and select the modified backup.
- iTunes will restore your data and restart your iPhone.

Updating to ios 18 dev was one of the worst decisions I've made this year so far lol. My phones been randomly rebooting, becoming nuclear hot, etc. since. Worst part, I'm struggling to find it get stable enough to where I can safely downgrade the OS...

Thanks. This video saved my life. After downgrading my iPhone iOS 18 to 17.5, my iPhone got an MDM profile that I couldn't remove. My only option was to restore the backup, which wasn't working until I saw this video. Thank you so much.

It worked! I had iphone 15 pro max and a macbook. Thank you so much for making this video. Now i'm back to iOS 17.5.1 and i managed to do from a back up with iOS18. The last part was crucial and i didnt find that in any other video! Amazing Video!

The worst thing I’ve ever done was update to the beta. Broke my phone and it’s really hard to transfer to a new phone

This video is best in this topic. Survived my earlier backups following your steps but this time on my windows I have a new software called Apple Devices instead of iTunes. So what is happening is that the backup folder has no "info, both manifest" files. Is it because of Apple Devices and should I install iTunes again? Although Apple Devices has all features of backup/restore that iTunes have. I'm confused.

If I were to bring it to a phone repair shop for them to downgrade it for me, would that be a smart idea?

I haven’t done anything yet but what would happen if I did it without backing up the data? I already have my pictures saved to my iCloud before installing iOS 18 beta and that’s the only thing that matters to me so can I still proceed without backing it up?

But it wants me to pay for it or it won't do the deep download!
