I've always found it interesting that sci-fi writers usually only go, at most, a few hundred years into the future. None that I know of has gone as far as Wells did for The Time Machine, which went to the year 800, 000. I think people, even the most imaginative, find it impossible to imagine that far ahead in time. I've always had a special appreciation for Wells, being willing to go so far ahead and imagine a world so incredibly different than today's.

I watch these videos daily, and I usually scroll through the list looking for the ones that sound interesting to me and skipping the ones that don't ... and yes a few don't. But, I've found that the ones that I had previously skipped because "I already know about that", or "that doesn't interest me in the slightest", turn out to be some of the best ones I've seen! I was about 3 years old, when my parents bought me an illustrated book about nature (probably intended for kids a bit older), that explained all types of things from why woods are important, to hurricanes & other natural disasters... and on it's first pages, it said *"the world will end in a couple million years. here are some options."* all I remember thinking was "well, who the hell knows how many million years ago this book was written." and because I was 3 and I had no concept of time yet, I was (for quite a long time) genuinely scared, that the world could end at any minute 😅👌
