It's been a while since I last used Ubuntu and Linux in general. The last version I used was I believe Ubuntu 16.04. I've always watched Quidsup's video for anything related to linux.

I was mostly drawn to his review of KDE based distros like Kubuntu since I preferred KDE over Gnome. Then I moved to Arch Linux in college days.

Now as a Software Engineer, I'm mostly on Mac. My linux system is still with me, but I don't use it anymore.

I'm planning on installing any one distro and visit the dark world again 😄

The download page seems to not have landed yet :L

Don't mind the ram usage for a advanced distro. Windows and osx use much more.

At first I was "What?! I can't download it yet!" Then I see the date on the screen in the video as the 20th. This is the video he did a few days ago and on the Beta release. Not on the actual realase.

7:32 that's something about Gnome 3.36.1 I really appreciate. I want my screen to black out after x amount of time but not wake back up to a lock screen. I'm not sure if it's because I auto logged in before but in the previous version of Gnome I had to fiddle with some other settings to get that same outcome even though the lock screen was set to off it would still activate after the screen went blank and woke up.

Nice review. Look forward to your Xubuntu 20.04 review.

20.04 looks great. Right now, having 18.04 very comfortably installed and configured, it's a bit hard to justify doing an upgrade. I'll probably wait for 20.04.1.

Why most of linux users head to manjaro and rolling releases i find ubuntu more stable this is better than having laggy startup and bugs during the usage of softwares

I have been using Ubuntu Mate for years, I might give Ubuntu 20.04 a try again (earlier I used Ubuntu for many years), I hope it is efficient, I can adapt to various desk tops but I like easy use and don't want a computer- resource hog. Thanks quidsup!

Well, this is the first distro that made me switch from KDE to Gnome. 20.04 is amazing, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to use Linux

Mr. Quidsup, I'd like to know which of the other LTS 20.04 variants force SNAP Packages as default on their users. I'd to avoid those since SNAP Packages have slower loading times (especially for those who still have spinning hard drives, and lots do outside the West) and larger file sizes compared to the .deb counterparts. If I typed "sudo apt install libreoffice" in the terminal, I don't want the SNAP version installed, I'm sure you get what I'm saying. Thank you and good day.

Are there any plans to fix the audio issue that's existed since early 2019 in every Debian-based distro that exists?

Quids, I’m running the last LTS release of Xubuntu, it would really be a pain to reformat and setup everything again, would a direct upgrade work well?

I really think it's actually good to send the one time system info... I don't really understand why people wouldn't. I'd say it's foolish to take it as a privacy matter ....

Hi I have just sat through the review and I'm still not sure whether this version of linux is good or not. Did I miss something?
