You loyal Ubuntu 16.04 users can look forward to a great future with unity on your side. Either you upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 or upgrade later this year to Ubuntu 20.04. The decission is yours. But you can be sure, Unity is still your associate because both LTS sucessors will ship unity in the default repositories. I guess this is good news for you.
