Good news is they are working hard on it, and just a few months after this video it is totally ready to be a daily use OS.

The settings app is changed, displays works fine, etc.

Only thing missing is more than just the stock scopes and lenses. I want a dictionary and Wikipedia scope for easy quick searches, for example.

This was news when this project first launched, but I want to note that the lead developer is literally 11 years old. This is apparently a nostalgia project for him, and I’m in love with the project. I’m using it now as my main OS and I may not change.

This is good news and theyre aiming to become an official flavour . . . but Unity never really went away, you can install it on any version of Ubuntu very easily - I ve been using it on every version of Ubuntu since they dropped it and its stable on all versions, I m currently using on 20.04. I ll probably change to UbuntuUnity remix (sounds better than Unubuntu) when it becomes an official flavour.

Ive been able to keep unity desktop since they decided to go to gnome. Ive been getting the Unity7sl iso and upgrading from there. Unity is still super stable. Im happy to see someone making headway in getting an official flavor for Unity. As far as im concerned it should of happened years ago.
