I love that you explain things like double weaving and don't just assume people know about them.

Great guide, hope a lot of people that are struggling on melee will see this!
Though it should be worth noting that flank positionals are the full 90 degrees size on each side and not the 45 degrees each on the shown image.
Even though generally speaking you do want to be in the sweetspot between rear and flank.

You sound so energetic and full of life now after DRS is cleared, a real treat. And a nice video at that :)

Great guide! Most important rule as a melee is to turn you brain off and just keep uptime at all costs.
Joking obviously. This is a really good baseline for all new and old melee players to improve their gameplay :)

Thumbs up for the insight that flank is not a 90° cone alone.

I'm majorly a caster/ranged player, so the difficulty that I have is the mindset I can just stay at melee when avoiding aoe instead of disengaging. I always forget that lol 😆

Super niche/fringe but if you're starting to pull aggro from the tank while running between wall to wall pulls (or are one of those people who pull for the tank); popping arm's length will give anyone who hits you a slow debuff helping you and the tank stay alive. More important when they YPYT you.

Do melee positions work inside the boss' hitbox or do you have to be outside?

So how do positionals interact with "giant" bosses? As in the ones who stay at the edge of the arena, and you can't feasibly reach their flank/rear. Do you still have to use True North to get full damage? I feel like there was at least one such boss that was treated as "omnidirectional, " and positionals were pretty much given for free. I might be remembering incorrectly, or using information from an unreliable wiki...

Great guide mate! Quick question, what type of camera movemant are you using? I'm having problems running back at the boss, when there is a mechanic and I just want to squeez in the last GCD, cause the camera turns.

The best DPS is a good tank and healer. IF the tank is running around like a chicken with his head cut off then it will be impossible for the DPS to hit his positionals. Tanks need to aggro and trust that the healer will heal them if they don't move around.

So limit breaks are a dps lost. Never touching that button again.
