Loading An Edible Grinder

For many anglers, this is the ultimate facet of fishing. Catching Sharks, Rays and other large inedibles.

In this video, Ray Thompson explains how to put line onto your inedible grinder (Daiwa Saltist MQ 20K) and ends the video with the best rod to pair with the reel.

You will need:

- Daiwa Saltist MQ 20 000 reel
- 8x Daiwa J Braid
- Triple Fish Gator Braid
- Triple Fish Braided Surf Leader
- Mustad Scissors
- PR bobbin

love your vids. can you do a vid on the PR knot. so can see exactly how to do it. have an idea from this vid but would appreciate a more close up view with full tutorial. Will use this to set up my Shimano SW 14K for edibles

Just noticed that you have used the heavier backing braid to do the wraps with the PR knot to wrap around the lighter main line. i thought the PR was more effective when a lighter line was wrapped around a thicker line ??

Do a feature/s on rods !?!
There is a variety of subjects - aspects about rods!....
Example, suitable lengths, for bank tidal river fishing;
for shore surf distance casting.

Number of rings on rods for grinder reels and multiplier reels to make the casting of them suitable to cast with.
As example, I have bound extra rings on some of my rods and I use them for both reel types.
This is for the line to flow out smoothly when casting.

My first old glass fibre rod did not have enough rings on for my Penn 500A Jigmaster and the line made marks on the rod from being under tension, from trying to pull loose when line was stuck on rocks etc. 🎣

Isn't pr knot meant for braid to mono/flouro?
