The big winner in this is defense contractors stocks. Who would have thought profiting through death of people was so lucrative.

Just FYI for those who believe it wasn’t an Iranian drone that hit, check who CLAIMED RESPONSIBILITY. Then check what type of drone can fly that far and do THAT MUCH damage. Hint: it’s not an off the shelf drone.

Even a recreational drone pilot knows there's no such thing as a mix up with two drones heading in the same direction. You always know which one is yours with 100% location precision.

The same politicians who vote to authorize military interventions in foreign countries and who determine the Pentagon’s annual budget are themselves profiting from the defense industry. As is often the case with American corruption, this practice is a bipartisan exercise.

And why couldn't this outpost tell the difference between our drone and one that isn't ours?

"We will now bring on former National Security personnel to guess and possibly give away our military attack response plan."

I mean, if you take a step back for a second and look at this entire thing .. US just straight up setting up shop right in the center of the middle east like a giant "What are you going to do about it?". Imagine Yemen had 3000 troops year round just chilling in the middle of Canada and the U.S border, I'm sure after a generation grows up they would want them gone too. Can't blame the region for wanting them out after decades of this.

Iran: "Yes, we gave the munitions to the Houthis, but whomever they shoot them at is not our fault"
Me: "Um... it IS your fault"

Iran and America are enemies tactically but allies strategically, neither one wants an open war but wants only to exert pressure on the other side to get better deal in eventual negotiation. America will hit some bases in a limited manner! This is what Esper is really saying!

Ever notice that the "bad guys" don't discuss their options publicly?

A war should be avoided at any cost as casualties and damages to US economy will be immense. People easily forget that US previous responses had caused many deaths amongst these groups and death brings revenge. We should act wise.

Does anyone know if the drone was indeed an Iranian Shahed-131 I’m skeptical at the moment? That is a very large drone

The base’s location offers a site for US forces to infiltrate and quietly leave Syria.

US troops long have used Jordan, a kingdom bordering Iraq, Israel, the West Bank, Saudi Arabia and Syria, as a basing point. Some 3, 000 American troops typically are stationed across Jordan.

However, the US presence in Jordan risks angering a population that has already held mass demonstrations against Israel’s war on Hamas in Gaza over civilian casualties in a conflict that has already killed over 26, 000 Palestinians.

To those who are watching these developments…did you notice Iran is going pound for pound. They’re responding quickly and efficiently

The Jordanian government says the strike was not on Jordanian territory. The base is on Syrian territory at the border with Jordan.

The Iranians seem way, way too intent on provoking a US reaction.
