President Moon Jae-in has congratulated Xi Jinping for securing a second five-year term as the head of China's Communist Party.
In a letter to Beijing's leader, President Moon offered sincere congratulations for the success of the Communist Party's twice-a-decade national congress... and the re-election.
President Xi's renewed mandate as the party's general secretary guarantees the second half of his ten-year presidency.
The South Korean leader expressed hopes of meeting him in the near future to discuss ways to further consolidate the 25 year-old friendship between Seoul and Beijing..., develop their ties into a practical strategic partnership... and promote peace and development on the Korean peninsula as well as the Northeast Asian region.
