“Witchcraft, Ugh!” Would make great sarcastic merch. You could surround the quote with crystal balls, caldrons, black cats and other spooky shit. I would buy it!

I recently did my 7th Suicide Prevention walk in honor of a family member I lost and there was a large group of people there walking for their lost loved one with a bunch of signs that said “LOVE GOD MORE” and it was pretty triggering for me because the family member I lost had a lot of religious trauma. It felt like they were implying that our loved ones would still be here if they had just loved god more and I don’t know if that’s what they were going for but it was poorly executed.

Conservative Christians talking about Halloween is always hilarious to me because the reason you wear costumes on Halloween is to SCARE AWAY THE DEMONS.

so who's going to tell them that Christmas trees were a pagan tradition? I guarantee they decorate a tree every year.

There is absolutely zero chance she was raised Catholic. Perhaps she was baptized as a baby and has non-practicing parents. Maybe. She would not have made it through confirmation without being able to pronounce catholicism.

I would never make fun of someone for not knowing how to pronounce something because it just means they haven't read it before. I will however make fun of someone for not knowing how to pronounce something when reading it on a podcast because that means they didn't read it before they did so in a professional setting. That's insane.

This feels like it's aiming for a very specific audience. Also shows how long out of date a lot of Christian groups are when they're riffing on a brand that hasn't been relevant in the last 20 years.

All of this Christian relationship advice is so toxic. It never worked for me. I spent so much time trying to be "religious" instead of just focusing on what a good and healthy relationship looks like. I was toxic myself.

They're 28 and 34 and not yet married with 3 kids each? The Daily Wire will come down hard on them for their selfish un-Christian lifestyles probably.

She does know that the costumes and masks were meant to ward off evil spirits right

Being a regional actor and having been a coach…
I can say that living the wake-up go to acting class, meet with people about a possible film, go to an audition or film a video audition wash rinse repeat…. It can destroy a person.

There isn’t anything going on. You are spinning your wheels “honing your craft, ” but just getting a day job and building a career while audition on the side would be more fulfilling.

Because after a year, then two, three…
If you did not start learning to write, produce, edit, and be an all around filmmaker you may have nothing to show for your acting other than. “Man 1” which you actually worked for 1 day. You got paid possibly $2, 000 for this one day on set. You get residuals, but that could be $200 a year.

The math doesn’t add up.

I stopped coaching, stepped back from indie production, and just started working a warehouse job to build a family.

I still have an agent and book one or two professional level parts a year.

My acting career is still happening, but I actually have a life that is not talking about acting 99.99% of the time and actually acting .01% of the time.

Honestly I just want to keep going because I have nothing but good things to say about their channel… I noticed their channel months ago and I was hesitant to watch it because I think I had the same judgment and doubt as you do and a lot of other people and so I continue to watch my regular Christian content podcast creators from other channels which I'm not gonna lie are majority male creators but I'm so glad that I gave their channel a try I am so thankful that there are women like them in this space. I appreciate them so much. Every single episode has been food to my soul! Thank Jesus for Ari and Angela!

So we must all be evil and dark because we have literal skulls. Omg..

If skull imagery upsets her so much, she would lose her mind in Mexico.

Growing up Roman Catholic in Europe, I was taught not to believe in magic, witchcraft, ghosts or any superstition, because believing that something other than God has Powers was considered "blasphemous." (Satan/demons are not seen as literal, and their power comes through God, it's weird.)

I'm always shocked to see how spiritual American Evangelists are.

These girls are doing a fantastic job being vulnerable, caring and most importantly reading the word of God. People are not perfect, we all are able to make mistakes, that's why we are human, and makes these girls even more relatable. Bible is a guide for our lives and should be read more than anything else! Hope that when you listen to them God will speak to each and every single person here. ❤

I know it’s off topic slightly, but about the whole “being raised Catholic but can’t pronounce Catholicism” thing: it’s possible that she has a learning disability that affects reading and/or pronunciation. Something like dyslexia.

Women and girls are vastly under diagnosed with these conditions. There’s countless women walking around with dyslexia, dyscalculia, adhd, and a whole host of other conditions and don’t know it.

When I was a child in the 90s and my brother got diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, I went to my school counselor and said that I noticed some of the same symptoms he has in myself.

The counselor flat out told me that was impossible because “girls don’t get dyslexia or ADHD.”

So I didn’t get diagnosed until my early 30s (I have ADHD, dyslexia, and dyscalculia).

And even when it’s not that overt, there’s a myriad of reasons why girls and women don’t get diagnosed.

So it might not be that she’s uneducated in the field, it might be that reading is difficult for her, and/or that getting the info from her eyes to her brain to her mouth is difficult.
It also could be that one leads to the other. Reading is difficult, so she avoids it, so she isn’t well-read on the topic of Christianity.

Just thought I’d offer another perspective.

I love that even when evangelicals try to reference porn they're still outdated references 😭

If you just saw a clip of them talking about "The scary stuff" you would 100% think it was a comedy skit.
There's no way you would think that two grown adults have that conversation on a serious podcast. No way
