ANG!!! My mental health story is IDENTICAL to yours!!! I have hit a rock bottom with mental health, specifically a new OCD diagnosis and existing anxiety/panic attacks. I genuinely felt like I was losing my mind. I fell to my knees and prayed for the first time in 10+ yrs. I texted my Mom asking her to pray for me. She called and was able to tell me she could see me standing in my bathroom crying, with dark figures surrounding me screaming into my mind. I did NOT tell her where I was in my apartment. I knew she was being truthful. I went through a season of not even believing in God, to being agnostic to now a believer. It's funny because I knew in that moment of breaking down what I needed to do..which was pray. Just got my bible today! My family is a family of very strong Christians so they have been waiting for this moment and are there to hold my hand along the way. Prayers for everyone who has had to hit a rock bottom also to find their way to God.

I have problems with OCD which comes from stress and my desire to control things, yet the only way to win is to surrender and not give up. God is trying to teach me how to surrender to his ways and to build trust with him. He has been patient with me and has constantly repeated the same message like yours consistently and patiently. Thank you Jesus.

I'm also obsessive and extreme with things too, so the steak story had me CRYING LOL. I was raised as a Christian but never really felt a connection to God, but now at the age of 22 I'm finding my way back into faith after seeing so much evil in life. I'm so thankful this podcast was recommended to me in this era of my life, God bless you girls and thank you Jesus!
