I know this video is pretty old but I came here because I literally missed one day of Pre-Cal, which was the day Solving a Right Triangle was discussed, and I was so lost and couldn't figure it out just using my text book. This helped me TREMENDOUSLY! Thank you for this! For the people saying they couldn't understand it, that's baffling because he literally broke it down elementary style but I think you would have to know a little bit about solving angles to pick it up.

i just used trig for the first time in my life but for a real life application. Had to measure the diagonal length of a cable coming off a 10m vertical pole. This video saved my ass when having to come up with the length, thank you!

For all those wondering, he got the 0.364 by typing in "Cos of 20 degrees"

Its that simple. Just look up the cos tan and sin of your Degree and youll get the answer.

Thanks Anthony! My professor in college literally went over the practice test and got to one of these questions, was like "oh, hmm, well, I'm sure you all know how to do these, " and skipped it! I don't think he even remembered how to solve this problem himself, so instead of looking bad, he just skipped it. It made me so mad. Yet, I come here, and YAY! You actually make up for the sorry crap I have to deal with for an education I am paying the guy for... This isn't the first time he has done this. Anyway, thanks for explaining!

Wouldn't this be 2 angles because there is a right angle? Is there a way to find the length of A with only the length of B and the right angle?
