Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 Update - 10 BIGGEST Gameplay Changes You Need To Know

It's been said often enough, but these three years since Cyberpunk 2077 have been excruciatingly long for fans and the development team. Numerous updates have been released, adding new features and fixes, but following Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, it seemed like support for the first-person action RPG was well and truly over.

That is, until CD Projekt RED confirmed Update 2.1, also launching on December 5th alongside the Ultimate Edition for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It promised some “hotly anticipated” gameplay elements, which is an understatement based on the developer's recent Twitch stream.

Here are the ten biggest things you need to know about the update, though beware of spoilers for the base game's story. This isn't everything in the update, so expect other surprises when it goes live.

Was FINALLY with the 2.0 launch seriously planning to start this, having picked it up for dirt cheap on both PC and PS5 back when it was really struggling. So even MORE to look forward to is great.

I've absolutely loved this game from day one, even though there were a lot of bugs at launch. The developers are just making this game better and better.

Really great to see the continuous support. I had no intention in playing the game where it stranded on v1.0... But then ended up getting the platinum on 2.0. Still yet to play the DLC. Fantastic game!

I updated my pc to just play this game when it came out. I took the latest version of Skyrim and the surprisingly huge Civ 6 off just to make space. It played well before the update before phantom liberty, some settings on high, some medium and a couple low. Now, according to their charts, my pc is still mostly up to snuff, my processor unfortunately is another generation behind. I sure hope I can still play this game, although I just might have to update the processor before I buy Phantom Liberty.

No NG+ is seriously disappointing but I’m glad they’re still working on the game I’ve already played through it like 5 times so I don’t think I’ll come back for this update but I hope everyone enjoys it 🖤

For people wanting a ng+ mode, download a save editor and drop your old character and inventory from a previous save, it needs a little extra work but it’s worth, works on pc and ps5
