That is a decision that deserves the utmost respect, and I hope that Harlow sees it that way when it is explained to her when she gets older. Her birth mother was thinking of _her_ over her mother's own wishes, so that she would have the best chance of living a good life.

You know folks, the thing is the majority of people on this earth are decent, kind souls who want the best for their families, and will help where they can. The media and the internet bombard us with the nasty stuff, but it’s still very much in the minority. We shouldn’t get complacent though, and always laud decency like this when it goes that extra mile.

I'm reading a lot of comments about how great the adopting family is. How about the addict who had so much love for her baby that giving her away was best. I know plenty of females who love getting pregnant every 2-3 years because the welfare benefits + tax refunds allow the mom to lounge around all day.
