That Cairo transition with the plane, sunset and music was perfect!

As Egyptian i like how you explained the negatives clearly without too much drama.

What a chaoting concert, doesn't look like a Mike Thurston vlog, more like a Kurt Caz exploring dangerous places

Kudos for your open-minded approach to the pyramids mate. I like that you have obviously delved further into the possibilities, and assessed what feels true to you.
Also, good travel tips - I appreciate the transparency.

I can't wait for the Luxor vlog. Personally, I find Egypt mesmerising.

Literally every time someone makes a video of their experience in Egypt it convinces me that it's genuinely dreadful and not worth it.

I love Cairo, the old historic places are extremely worth seeing and being there in person, experiencing the local atmosphere and the hustle and bustle is fine, it can get a bit much sometimes, but you can understand that people are just going about their day trying to provide for their families, people are mostly very friendly. There is a side to Cairo, you didn't show, the posh places.. there are many modern locations, posh compounds and neighbourhoods, awesome hotels that I would say are better than many in Dubai.. you just need to know where they are..

Egypt is amazing. I traveled Giza, Aswan up the Nile and Luxor. You can have an amazing trip you just need to plan all the tours and travel ahead of time.

Nice time to come to Egypt, the weather is nice this time of year. I left the UK in the early 2000’s to go and work overseas, USA, Kuwait, Doha Qatar and now Egypt last 14years in sharm el sheikh for the US government, we probably have the best gym in Egypt 😂. Theres a big expat community of brits in sharm and Cairo. I spend most of my time in maadi and Giza Cairo. Love it! Chaos 24/7 in the city that never sleeps.

Been to egypt in September and to honest the old ruins and old culture is amazing and takes your breath away …. Buuut the country is total chaos some people mean genuinely good but there are so many scammers and the military is extremely rude especially in the airport .
So I love the respect they have for their old culture but they have so many work to keep the country tourist friendly

This looks pretty terrible. A good reminder that social media never shows what the experience is actually like. Super easy to create a beautiful highlight reel and make even the worst trips look epic. Reality is often very different. Good on you for being transparent with your audience and showing this side of things.

Great video. Real, raw, and honest. Bringing awareness to the mysteries and BS we have been told surrounding this area.

I loved your narration Mike.
Been there, absolute chaos, esp when it comes to pitching camels, gifts, photoshoots. I wish you went to the Natural Hostory Museum, that one was pretty dope. I got some papyrus art as well.
