As a retired mirror tech, mirror mastic is the best followed by clear silicone. If you use silicone you have to use hot glue in dabs to keep the glass in place until the silicone dries. Clear silicone will not corrode the silver coating. If you're using the mirror in a high humidity area, using clear nail polish to coat the edge where the silver and the glass meet. This will prevent blackening around the edges. Double-sided mounting tape by 3M also works to mount thin mirrors. Quarter inch plate mirrors weigh a lot more then single plate mirror which is an eighth of an inch.

step 1, get mirror safe glue.
some glues eat the mirror coating and the mirror starts showing black spots

Would contact cement work to glue a mirror onto a metal medicine cabinet box? Or, is liquid nail glue better? The contact cement could be attached to both surfaces, the mirror and the metal frame, then dry for about 20 to 30 minutes. I think the advantage is you only have to contact the two surfaces together momentarily for the mirror to permanently attach to the metal box. The mirror fell off of the metal medicine cabinet box after over a decade, and luckily the mirror didn’t break or crack.

I have a mirror which weighs is about 2, 5kg, would that glue stick it well to the wall? As I’m afraid it could fall down with one touch.

I have a glacier bay mirror and I am planning on drilling holes with anchors and stuff. Maybe I can put a bit of construction glue like this to reinforce it a bit? It’s in a bathroom with only the ac/heat coming in so it gets humid bc there’s no output. Also I have used that same glue for underlayment of like vinyl carpeting stuff and by judging your video, I think I have been using WAY too much glue 😂 oops. Thanks!
