I usually put some weight in the drawers about 5lb that drops the drawer lower so when you install your drawer fronts and put stuff in it it will be same all the time, because with very tight tolerances is very tricky to maintain that gap

Great approach. Very similar to how i used to do it & it gives great results.

Recently, I've been drilling the holes for my hardware (pulls) first. I use the playing cards for spacing & the put temp screws from the front in the hardware holes. Open the drawer, sink screws from the inside & remove temp screws. It works well too & avoids using the tape.

Wow such a hard way!. I use two screw . Drill the screw from inside until 3-6mm penetrate. Then i push the drawer front for marking. Im sorry for my English

You definitely don't need to use that much two-sided tape because a row like that cost twenty bucks you could easily use just for little one inch by 1 inch squares and get the same result

I just put some screws half in from the drawer side making a spike then put front in on packers give it a little whack onto spikes which marks where to predrill and screw on.. no tape no clamp!!
Adding a bit of weight to drawer
Is useful to if runners have a little play I. Them and gaps are tight
