Epic Traxxas XRT Upgrade Series: Solving Diff Problems and Chassis Flex (Part 2)

#vitavon #m2cracing #traxxas 🤑 I am building the TRUE Ultimate 1/5 RC Basher!

I took a base model XRT and maxed it out. In Part 2 of 4 we are focused on upgrading and installing the front, centre and rear differentials. The flex in the XRT chassis are bad and make the diffs skip or break teeth so adding strength in these area is important. So we add in the front and rear aluminum bulk heads are an easy and light weight solution. Next is moving from MOD 1 to MOD 1.5 which is the gear thickness - a much needed improvement. Lastly, we add in the M2C flex drive shaft which is a really smart upgrade. Knowing the chassis flexes this eliminates the drive shaft bending.

This upgrade series is created to help other interested in this truck, possible upgrades that might need to be done, and obviously the final bash testing to see if all these upgrades are worth of the hefty price tag. Certainly the most expensive build I have ever done and will be fun to durability test. Time to wrench!

1x RX Receiver box
1x Button hold
1x MAX 5 ESC plate
All screws and washers
*Gasket and antenna come with the original truck

I have a lot of what you do done no gears yet I need 3 things for it to be an ultimate. Bulkheads gear cover servo cover and that's all I need to have everything you did. I love the truck it runs amazing and xmaxx is just as fun in its own way as well. Love the video you killed the building. I would have done all red as well. I got the special black edition so mine is all black so far

That’s a lot of aluminum parts. I have a Xmaxx with only with proline shock shafts, HD non widemaxx arms, proline badlands, and a max6. I want a XRT. If I get one my hobby shop has the black one and I will sell it the esc and motor.

Mc2 drive shaft kit install video. Shows the shaft center plate wasn't put in the way you did.

Does this impact the way it runs. I put it in as they did in the video.

Holy 💩! man epic build. Million dollar question brother . . . . I know there 2 Completely Different platforms . . . .BUT at the 1/5 scale would you say is more difficult to work on vs. a Kraton 6s? Because the XRT is obviously BIGGER. It just seems like it "may" be easier to work on because the real estate is just bigger. I'm just curious. You got me wanting an XRT Now! 🤣
