Based on your recommendations, I have added several of these titles to my rental list. It worried me to see The Northman here. The only thing I liked about it was that it did eventually end.

We’re just gonna gloss over Top Gun Maverick?! The cinematography in that movie had never even been done before, not even in the original Top Gun.

Pearl is one of the best horror films the year and one of the two films Scorsese listed as his favorites of the year (the other being Tar). When Ti West shot X and the cast/crew became stuck in lockdown on location, they thought "why not make another movie since we're all stuck here anyways?" So they wrote and shot Pearl on the spot. Great filmmaking spirit and the result, a fun horror with the style of the Hollywood Golden Age, was even better than the film they went there to shoot in the first place.

I'm surprised Bullet Train didn't make your list. I LOVE that flick! I saw it 3 times in theaters, and once at home.

How in the WORLD is 'Top Gun: Maverick' (the highest grossing film of 2022) not on this list but 'Pinocchio' makes the cut? I've literally not seen a single bad review of this movie. All the movies on this list (of the ones I've seen) are all solid choices, but Maverick should have definately been on this list.

Did you get a chance to watch Puss in Boots The Last Wish? It really blew me away, it truly lives up to its hype. Definitely in my top 10 of the year
