I’m 50, just bought my first motorcycle.. just learning. I took it out to practice tonight and after 5 or 6 stalls and restarts it just would die every time I’d touch the throttle to try and move. Was quite embarrassing and frustrating, and now I think I know what the problem was 😂. Me of course. Thanks for the tip!

Actually flooding happens when you are cranking it to much and force too much gas into the cylinder. The carb itself can’t flood cause it has a float that stops fuel coming in when it reaches a certain height in the carb bowl. The only time hitting the carb will help is if your carb has some junk in it that is stopping the needle from closing and hitting the carb may sometimes help move that debris and allow the needle to seat and stop the flow.

oh yes because that makes sense. Wrong. LOL.... if you turn your choke off and full throttle ur bike this will allow much more air into the cylinder and un-flood ur engine. im trying to be as nice as possible because ur a kid but who ever told ur this is wrong.
