I just bought a Yamaha Zuma off of marketplace, and did a bunch of repair on it. It now has a clean carb, spark, compression and the starter works, it just wont start at all. Havent heard any sign of life from the engine

Thanks for the help! I checked my bike out after watching this video a few weeks ago, dug into the carburetor and as soon as I took it off the needle assembly fell lose like it was misaligned 😂

Good way to test spark good is to put another one plug to get compression

Easier check after you removed and verified it's working, is to kick it over with your finger over the spark plug hole, if your finger is pushed hard by compression then you have air into the engine and compression is good. Also smell your finger and it should smell like fuel as well.

I cleaned all my jets put new fuel, have spark and still no start. Also compression is good. Next step is changing oil and filter plus spark plug.

Make sure you ground the spark plug like he did I kicked over my pit bike while checking it and me and my friend got shocked about 30 times in a second

I cannot get my 50 running to save my life, has spark, compression brand new carb still won’t stay running or idle right.. just did valve adjustment still won’t stay running idk if I should use a stabilizer and mix the gas for the carb the lady I bought it from had it sitting in her garage for 15+ years

If you try this and have no luck you probably blew your motor, pull the exhaust pipe off look in the exhaust port for cylinder or piston damage. You will also know if your bike doesnt meet recommended compression or psi in the cylinder, and sounded like crap in the last moments it was running

I have a little 100 as a pit bike and so far it’s doing good. Suspension is probably going to be replaced with some CR85 forks and shock. And then a big bore kit for some extra power

Maybe check compression and airflow first, always check the easiest things first,

I don't have an air intake. Could that be the problem? Only things I haven't tried are getting a filter and cleaning my carb

Varnish. Shellac is a product of the lac bug

I have a new bike I built and when I kick start it it’ll go “blumb blumb” but won’t start… idk anything about bikes so I’m kinda lost. Has good gas, oil, chokes ok, gas on, and keys on right position
