Resetting the HVAC System on First Generation Freightliner Cascadias

Sometimes your truck cab gets stuck blowing one temperature of air and won't change. This will show you how to reset your HVAC system on Freightliner Cascadia trucks.

I push the clutch in, flash the high beams 27 times, left blinker 4 times, right blinker 5 times, and drink 2 cups of coffee and pee on a electric fence. Problem fixxed.

Make sure and remember to turn your key to the run position without starting your truck.

Thanks it worked fine at first my heat was not working but my air did so when air went out I tried fault cleared and it was blowing cold again! Ty

It’s 2021. My 2016 Peterbilt stopped heating. It turned out the cold/hot blender door Actuator had a loose mounting screw.

I got access to it by simply removing the two dashboard plastic covers, behind the air brake valves. I tightened it with a T20 Torx wrench and it started working again.

I learned from your video. I hope someone finds my experience helpful.

I got a 2016 with the same system. Do you have any idea why when you press the bunk button on the third dial the back doesn’t blow cold when the truck is running and the front is cold? On the other hand if you park and use the park smart it does blow cold in the back

I switched over to defrost my windshield for a few minutes, now it won’t switch back to the main dash vents. It vents to the windshield only in the dash position. All the other positions seem to work. Will this fix that condition as well?

Don’t forget to turn your key in the on position before trying this I don’t know why he left that out very important
