I've been doing freelance work for over a year now. And I always thought T&M NTE was the norm as it makes all the sense in the world. I'm not from the United States but I get clients from all over the world. And for some reason people over there are often weirded out by it! Almost everywhere in the world it seems to be the expected format.

But it's really strange having to explain to them that it's insane to bill hourly not knowing how much they'll pay in the end. And they usually seem to think I'm bullshitting them or something... The USA is a crazy place.

Would be super helpfull to hear talk about contracts between indies located in different countries. Topic that would give a huge boost and would promote collaboration between international indie developers. A true guide on forming ligit indie teams.
If anybody knows some thing about it could you share some usefull links?
Thanks!

Turns out owning a business is a risky venture. Shouldn't be a surprise.
