Thank you so much for sharing theses videos. You are by thus far one of my most favorite go to daily YouTube channels who make it like a Christmas present every day when I see a new video posted! Such creative genius! I only have the pastel set of Holbeins but I have yet to use them. I am planning on taking this long holiday weekend to start from your 1st video and enjoy binge-watching your playlists from start to finish since I've learned so much from you thus far.


I have turned into quite a collector of supplies from budget friendly pencil sets all the way up to professional brands. By watching various channels and by playing with the different sets and brands that sets I am slowly becoming aware that there is definitely a difference between a oil based pencil to a wax based pencil, paper quality plays a huge part and there is a reason why one pencil costs an average of 25 cents to another brand one at $3.75 to everything in between. Most importantly, paper quality plays a huge quality as well and there are some great medium priced pencil sets out there that can deliver great quality without breaking the bank. I also learned why some pencils are available “open stock” and why. Knowledge and practice. The proof is in the pudding!

By watching reviews and trying out various brands I have come to learn why one set costs 30.00 and another costs 350.00. “Not to sound like a “snob “ it's just how one brand out performs another and what you enjoy working with. In the end, I am enjoying coloring, playing with my growing color mediums and continuing to just have fun and relaxing in my new found hobby! In the end, there is no wrong or right way to create art it's just about having fun and being a kid again just like on Christmas morning!
