One benefit of staying fully involved all of these years. 28 years, we showed up at the wrong house once and had the wrong color started once but the rest of these issues I have avoided. I start every job with the guys.

Wonderfully said. I always try to show up around the same time as the crew, and 2 or 3 times more throughout the day to make sure no funny stuff is going on.

I literally dream of having my own crew to teach about these issues and safety one day.

How about closing and locking the hitch pin on your dump trailer when reconnecting it before heading the road or forgetting to lift the landing gear all the way up and getting it nagged in the driveway or worst down the road. This one might not make it to the top of the list but when you break your dump trailer and cant finish the job or start the next job. It will make your hair change color to gray and white.

Put a sign in the yard the day before the job start and send the crew a photo of the house to avoid working on the wrong house.
We've made that mistake once!

You said get the crew that can get the job done the quickest. However from my experience and observation you sacrifice quality. I fix a lot of leaks on homes where the homeowner said the crew got it done in one day.

My roof pitch is 12:12 and 8:12 in places. Where my residence is I deal with larger leaves, helicopters, and a small number of pine needles. Are gutter guards or filters ideal for my case in your opinion and if so which option would you recommend? We've lived in the residence from approx 03/22 to now and the downspouts are already clogged. My concern with the pitch is water running over the guards/filters. My dilemma is if it just makes more sense to clean the gutters or have them cleaned. Quotes to this point have come from a more basic leaf relief type system and two different mesh type products..All American Gutter Protection and Leaf Filter.

Dimitri, thank you for your videos. I've started with Ready Roofing recently and have seen some concerning things. A buddy was currently with them and they needed a tech. Been about 6 months and I'm on the fence about staying on. It's nothing like the ready roofing you posted about. It's almost like the company was sold or something. I've been in the industry sense 2008. They are under the GAF spell😅. Not a bad brand but certainly not the best. This branch is fairly new to the area. Should I give it a chance or move on? The biggest problem it most of the folks involved dont seem to know anything about the industry.

We always attach a photo of the project being done at the top of the work order to ensure the correct house or building

Years ago, I was doing reroofs for bank owned properties. Realtor that was feeding me sent two address in one email. One to inspect. One that was approved to reroof.

Guess which house I sent the tear off crew to?

I aways send address along with picture of front of house to roofers. I try to have materials delivered a day prior to I install. I inventory material on prior day and stick a sign in yard if it's not already there. This should prevent crews showing up at the wrong house.

Wrong colour- we appreciate every customer but they are not always right with colour choice and should guide them to a proper colour (black goes with everything worse case)
I Love your channel !
