7 Must Have Items for your Car Emergency Kit & Winter!

Winter is approaching so I thought it would be a good item to put a list together of the top items you should keep in your car emergency kit, what to add in winter and if you drive a rear wheel drive car.

I've divided the list into 7 categories as below:

Good video, I'd add 1)snow tires shouldn't be negotiable in the north- saved my ass in my 550i even with x drive 2) winter washer fluid, nothing like driving two hours and using all your fluid and then ice or sand block your view 3) i carried those small battery chargers and found them to be crap, i broke down and for $150. got what tow trucks carry, its the best (and I can charge my R NineT too). AAA is always a good thing too, they aren't as good as they used to be but I'd rather have them (and I get enough coverage to tow my motorcycle). thanks man

I don't carry any of this extra weight around. It's not worth the hassle unless you're doing a long distance road trip. I think I've only broken down once with a VW & just called a tow truck or friend. I keep all my maintenence tools in the garage & try to stay minimalist.

Just remember in cold weather if you have left your battery charger in the vehicle, the battery may have gone dead. These battery chargers should be in the bag you take to the car each trip. That way it means your charger will be charged and alive when you need it.

Not recommend to use jumper cable. You don't know if the other car have any electrical issue. It can fail and fry your own car or blow up your battery.

Should check for oil every week, shouldn't need to have 1 in car unless your car is leaking which should get it fix. All gas stations carry oil. Most new cars come with factory equipped air pump.

Water keep in the car is not healthy to consume. 1 reason cause of cancer.
