I don't get why going to a coffee shop is not a date. You are getting to know the person who might be your potential partner. You don't have to be stuck with the bill if it doesn't work out. You don't have to be stuck watching a movie. People have lost the meaning of deeper connection. A lot of times it is just a free meal ticket.

No. Dates take thought and planning. I can drink coffee at home. Coffee dates are to see if you look good enough to him for him to want more than sex. Going all in if you like someone means dinner. Definately not meeting any man for coffee. That is lazy on his part. No thanks! Lol

It is a date, a good one expecialy first date. You get to know each other better. Not only is it cheap it saves a lot of money for them expecialy the man because surely he is the one expected to be paying for the dates

It is a date. Two strangers meeting for coffee and getting to know each other. We all have this stigma around rules on dating. We need to strip it back to basics which is really getting to know each other. I think coffee is great way to start.
